Rouge Vif D' Etampes is a famous, traditional variety of pumpkin originating from France. The plant produces fruits with red skin and orange flesh. The beautiful flattened squash variety has bold vertical ridges and sweet firm flesh. This particular variety was the best known variety in the central market of Paris in the 1880s. A characteristic feature of the variety is that the fruits can be picked even when they are smaller in size and eaten like a pumpkin.
