The rootstock Macis F1 is a very powerful melon rootstock , characterized by Nunhems as "the key to success for melon grafting ". Proves a high resistance to Fusarium and Verticilium. This hybrid has a very strong root system, capable of transmitting its vigor and resistance to the grafted hybrid.
Macis F1 has a thick and straight hypocotyl, which maintains the grafting point above the ground to avoid the passage of the grafted hybrid in contact with the soil.
