Platypus F1 has an extra-early maturity and a short vegetation period (35-40 days), it can be grown both in the field and in protected areas. The leaves are oval-elongated, slightly pointed, thick, dark green, ideal for baby spinach crops.
The plants grow quickly and vigorously, and their resistance to various spinach diseases means they stay green for a longer period of time.
Platypus F1 is suitable for early spring crops (from February to the end of March) and summer-autumn crops (from August to the first half of October).
It can be harvested both manually and mechanically, for baby spinach crops it is recommended to use a higher density. It has good tolerance to the emission of the floral stem.
Recommended density: 1.5-2.5 million plants/ha.
Resistance (HR):
PE:1-15,17,20 - Peronospora farinosa f. sp. spinaciae (Spinach hand).
