Etele has a moderately early ripening, indeterminate, Hungarian Wax type pepper hybrid with real white, sweet, large hanging fruits of elongated tapered shape.
The fruit is thick walled, very regular shaped with wide shoulders. Fruit length is 1418 cm; it is 68 cm wide at the shoulder and weighs 120160 g. White at harvesting maturity and red at full ripening. Fruit size is kept also by the end of the cultivation season. Product quality is usually extra or sometimes 1st class. It has an outstanding yield. Moderately strong vigour, medium length of internodes. Roots, branches and the stem are extremely strong.
Special stress tolerance and the highest Tm3 level resistance to Tobamo viruses (Tobacco mosaic virus: TMV, Óbuda pepper virus: ObPV, Pepper mild mottle virus PMMoV). It is not susceptible of purpling (anthocyanic coloring). The benefits of its type are ideally composed in this breed.
